Is any one going to goodwood this year ? for the festival of speed. i went last year for the first time. i loved it. for those who have never listened to an f1 car start up, you have to go . its awesome.
Maybe we could do a PH meet and camp over night, get some other Ph'rs to join us from around the country. i would be glad to arrange it ! ie make some calls to local camp sites, etc
Its on the 22-24 june 07 friday ticket is £25, sat £43, sun 47, or £ 90 for the whole weekend.

Right i have just phoned 2 camp sites, and this is how it stands. the site close to the entrance is £140 per plot for the whole weekend only up to 4 persons per plot ! (And you have to display a full weekend ticket per plot to the owner) number for this is 01243 755 055 the guys name is martin.
The next one i called was about 2-3 miles away.
and there prices are .
Minimum booking of 3 nights at £22 pound for a 4 man tent per night .if you only have 1 man its still 22 pound per night for min of 3 nights!
so choice's are stay all weekend. and have some beers in the night. or just go for the day. the number for this camp site 01243 78 77 15. pls let me know what you would like to do. so i can get a general idea.
p.s the camp site's sells out fast btw.
I think it would be best doing it in groups of four. i.e. I arrange four . 2DOGS you arrange four etc.
so dependent on how many are coming, we will arrange a team leader kind of thing. And as proof of you coming. you have to buy your own ticket, and Pay your team leader his camp money! Team leader has to arrange his campsite. If any one has a better way of running it pls let me know! as long as it does not involve me paying for it all and waiting for money back ! We could do it on a up front basis?
Or do we just go for the day?
So do we have any willing TEAM LEADERS here ?

Matt, obviously £66 is far more favourable than £140 but I wonder why there's such a big difference. Is parking a real issue(expensive)or something?
the site that is £140 is just in the next field to the goodwood house /grounds .

lets see what everyone else is happy with. and how many want to come, and play it from there. it maybe a case we just go for the day. i would personaly like to stay in the field next to ! or even sleep in the car park. lol
