working on the premise that some people want a tunnel run and others just want to meet up for a spirited drive again...

Im still working on a finalised route so if anyone has any ideas then please lay them on the table, but for the main, this run will most likely not go anywhere near brecon or any of the valleys, sticking to roads that hopefully wont be slushed and/or gritted.

THIS MEET WILL BE WEATHER DEPENDANT!

*****FINAL DETAILS*****

Date - Sunday December 31st

Time - 10.00 to leave by 10.30

Place - Junction 33 Services (Thats Cardiff West, not the usual cardiff gate @ J30)

I assume that you are looking to run thru' the Bay Tunnel, Bryn Glas, and a few other's - but not a good idea to try and access the large sewer beneath Cardiff and copy the "Italian Job"... My car will not fit !! Subject to the Weather, would join in the procession..

Having humbled Chris' Griff on our own private tunnel run last time and gloriously revelled in the thunder of sixteen cylinders, I hope I can chalk this one in - salt and grit dependent of course.

Sounds good, but the date might scare a few.

im thinking perhaps leaving out the M4 tunnels as they are considerably out of the way from the Bay (which is on my hitlist aswell as one other nearby location). Apart from that i may just lead you on a wee jolly somewhere. As per normal i'll just go with the flow on the day.

Regards the date, i know it wont suit everybody, but in a way thats good. Although a convoy of 30 cars might look quite cool, i think the logistics of it will be a bit perplexing. Would the saturday be more suitable? Personally im inclined to stick with the usual sunday morning affair.

well im figuring about an hour and half if you get to j33 for 10, chat until everyone turns up then we'll make our way down the bay, go to the 2 places i have in mind, park up, have a chat again, stop to eat if need be and then head back through the tunnels. Maybe a drive after that if weather allows and the mood takes us

That sounds good, is there any chance that someone will tape this, so many nice sounding cars is worth taping for safekeeping.

We have an in-car mount and recorded parts of the last run. We would be up for a tunnel run and would record. Camera can be quickly dismounted in case of blue light appearance

Should be up for this, will see if the step Dad wants to come out to. New exhaust on the V8, sounds like a proper V8 now
