So where do you chaps get your tyres from, I was tempted to get them over the net and have a local shop install them.

Does anyone have a local place that have good prices and they can recommend in the Cardiff area?

Cheers

Try researching over the net and then see what local people can come up with to match - www.mytyres, www.etyres (come to you to fit), www.valuetyres (have fitting stations locally).

King David Tyres in Risca are very good. I've heard Heath tyres recommended before. I used to use Windway in Grangetown but haven't done for years now so not sure of current situation.

Heath Tyres on Maes-Y-Coed Road were always good, haven't used them in a while though as I find buying tyres from my BMW independent whilst they are working on the car gets great rates.

Atlas , Llantwit St Cathays, tell them that black saab sent you.
They were/are a fitter for mytyres or whatever the internet thingy was, will do a lower price as no commission etc.
They fit for Paramount and are experienced in doing expensive cars, low profiles and such things, don't be put off by the bling wheels, everyone has to make a living.

Phil Harvey in Risca has done me good prices and excelent service on some Toyo's. Have also bought Yoko's from Atlas in the past and they have been good.

If you're looking for low-profile performance tyres, City Tyres in Clare Gardens are totally unbeatable. Not even the internet comes close and that's before you take into account the free fitting etc.

Garth Tyres in Gwaelod-Y-Garth are quite good too but can't get close to City Tyres on the performance stuff.

have you experience of www.etyres.co.uk ? theyre about £30 more for a pair of goodyear eagle f1's but obviously it includes fitting too which would save me going to the tyre garages local to me i love to loathe

Hi Mate

Well, sort of.....I ordered some runflats from them for the Beemer...they were best price I could find....unfortunately then found they didn't have stock which they thought they had....but were efficient in ringing and letting me know, and then crediting my account...
sorry can't help any more than that!

mytyres.net have much better local coverage. Just be 'selective' about who you use to fit, particularly in Chepstow.

Best deal by far. Got my new tyres on freshly refinished wheels and did not scratch the finish. Very meat market style, but great prices.

Cheers for the tip.
