When you say old style do you mean the s13 with the pop up headlights?
And was it red or burgandy??
Im guessing it had a ca18det in it as I dont know of any s13s in south wales running any other engines.
In relation to quick 200sx's in south wales though check out this project

This was tomato red and had polished rims that if I were to guess would look like the multi cross-spoke hubs (although I couldn't see them as they were spinning...LOL).
That link to the burgundy one looked a bit savage in it's execution. Only having the outer door skin between you and a car hitting you from the side is worrying and some of the stuff hacked out of the bumpers seems to affect it's NCAP rating. The seam welding probably added a few pounds.
To be honest though, much of this modifying lark is all meaningless unless you know what it cost overall. All very well having a car that is extremely fast but not so much if it cost as much as the cars you're out to beat.

This car and the original belong to my mate and too say he is fanatical about speed is an understatement,he would be the first to hold his hand up and say in terms of money the return is not good, but it aint about the money when it comes to these guys. The way this thing is coming to life is amazing and I cannot wait to see the finished article on and off the track.
As regards to safety,I took another look at the photo,s and all are before the bespoke rollcage was fitted ,he intends as before to do the drag stuff ,so the car will be more than safe when finished .I will add some more photo,s as the project has moved on since these.
