Car Clubs & Bikers Stay Off Our Roads
Discussion
Went out yesterday with few friends, all met up a d went fir a drive up over Storey Arms where we passed probably over a couple of hundred parked cars with people all miloing around together. We stopped at one of the reservoirs on the way down for a few pics, all kept our distance, then went home, no handshakes, no fist bumps, no contact whatsoever. And we all had a great time btw
There's more to this than social distancing. If someone goes through a hedge backwards or someone's poor judgement takes three cars / bikes out, then it takes away NHS staff from looking after a poorly covid victim. And lets be honest, who hasn't 'pushed on' when the roads are empty or has been put in a position they'd rather not be due to someone else's actions.

What a stupid comment, someone needs to get off of his high horse here. If idiots are going to crash then they’ll crash regardless of how many others there are on the roads, and that’s based on 15 years as a traffic cop, not just a whim. Back up your stupid argument with some figures and I’ll listen to you otherwise thanks for your input...Edited by SwanJack on Sunday 22 March 23:08
Just look at some of the comments. Just shows how hard it is to follow the guidelines that have now been given when you see people who think they are above that. Personally, and this is my opinion, we need to be harder on the people that are breaking the advice. How we do this, fines, removal of their cars / bikes etc I don't know and also I don't know where the resource would come from.
Some people are just that ignorant that they think they know better and are invincible. Get a grip and stop being so childish. You sound like the neighbour is trying to take you ball away for kicking it in their garden
My opinion, and I am right to have it before someone calls me down. You too can have your opinion. As long as your morals allow you to deal with it,if you have any.

In 2018 police forces in Wales recorded 4,222 road accidents involving personal injury
In recent years the number of accidents resulting in serious injury or fatalities has been relatively stable, with the overall decline in accidents accounted for by a continued fall in ‘slight’ injury accidents.
Within the 5,768 casualties:
108 people were killed, 7 more (6.9% higher) than in 2017
1,029 people were seriously injured
4,631 people were slightly injured
They call bikers "Donor's " here in South Wales...... Why should they go out to play and take up a valuable bed.
Common sense needs to prevail - "Stay at home"

I didn't say that the number of accidents increase on quieter roads, I said that that there was the potential to increase the risk of an accident if someone decided to take advantage of the situation. Not everyone involved in an accident is an idiot, innocent parties get involved, surely you know that bearing in mind your profession? I see it everyday in mine. If your so called idiots stay off the roads, as well as potential innocent parties, at a time when the NHS and emergency services ( of which you appear to be one) could do without extra load, then surely that's a good thing. If you stay at home and not put yourself in a position of possible risk, then your definitely not going to become a case for the NHS to deal with when they already have enough to do. It's that simple, but maybe a bit too much for you to grasp.
