Anyone had any experience with these? Car is going in to them as an approved repairer after an insurance claim.
I can't speak to this particular Fix Autos but personally I always advise against using insurance approved repairers; the work they do might well be fine but at the end of the day they have the insurance company's best interests at heart, not yours. Find an indie with a good reputation and take it there, your insurance company cannot tell where to go however, they can, with dubious legality IMO, increase your excess. Kick up a fuss and they might back down but an indy repairer might well be willing to cover that extra cost for you anyway.Full disclosure - I work with the body repair industry in South Wales hate to see what is happening to smaller businesses at the hands of the insurance industry. I could list virtually everyone doing body work in a given area but would feel pretty uncomfortable giving specific recommendations, but I'm sure other on here would obilge, or just have scan back through previous threads for who does good work.

I point blank refused to use my Insurers approved garage after a goon crashed into me and took it to an independant of my choice where i knew the repair would be of the highest standard,(and it was) they were not happy and tried to bump my renewal up £350, I am now insured with a different company....

I wasn't aware this was an option, would have been nice to have the option to choose. Picking it up tomorrow so I'll get some feedback up tomorrow.

I'm glad to hear they've done a nice job, as I say it's not like 'insurance approved' is a by-word for st work, it just means they're priorities might be different to yours. If you have an indie you trust it's always nicer to support them over the big shops anyway I think.
Hopefully you won't need it again, but if you do and your insurance company tries to send you to their repairer (and they can be quite forceful) just tell them to put it in writing, they tend to back down at that.
