I'm not sure this is the right place... maybe general gassing?
Anyway, if you were to find yourself in Cardiff on Saturday with your good lady, what is there to do? Maybe car related, maybe just intresting, but not a shopping mall if at all possible?
Any locals got a suggestion? Anyone else? Could be a bit rough for an Englishman in Wales depending on tongiht

Simples.... just go in to any pub and ask them to replay one of the recent rugby test series:

Australia v England

or

NZ v Wales.........

Then run .......

Wales will be playing Saturday, so unless mocking is on your list, avoid some of the pubs showing the football. biggrin
It all depends what it is your coming to Cardiff for and how long your sticking around?

There's loads of sight seeing options. Cardiff Castle, Cardiff Museum etc. there's an indoor karting place in Cardiff too. Indoor crazy golf in the St Davids car park Treetops adventure golf

If you fancy a challenge, there's an escape room activity somewhere in town.

Not sure theres much else to see/do around Cardiff car related, unless you want to walk round Porsche/Aston Martin show rooms laugh

Thanks Ryan
So avoid the pub!

Just wife had a bargin price so night and just the day really.

The castle seems to be worth a visit, Doctor Who experience?
Karting and golf I could do at home, but an option if the weather is crap.

I need to investigate this!

If it has to be in Cardiff I can't help really, bring the car and head to the beacons. Do the evo triangle? Probably the best way to see Wales really.

He would see a lot of Wales if he did the Evo triangle, it's in North Wales!

Cardiff is great if you like shopping and eating, not much else interesting to do.

No worries. Doctor Who is worth a visit if your into it, I didn't suggest it as not sure if it was your thing.

the fancy pubs/bars will be ok during the footy i'd imagine. Especially those in the Bay if your down there for the Doctor Who exhibit anyway.
There's a few water based activities to do down the bay, speedboat tour or a leisurely boat trip up the Taff river etc.

Escape room details - https://www.escaperoomscardiff.co.uk/

If going for a drive is an option, then fully recommend getting on the A470 and head north for Brecon and enjoy some scenic roads.

The Cardiff sea safari's from Cardiff Bay (the same area as Dr Who) is great fun (weather permitting).

700 HP speedboat trip which takes you around the bay and then out to the Bristol channel. I've done it a couple of times and it is great fun. A fair chunk of history is thrown into the mix too if you pay to go out to Flat Holm Island (recommended):

Sit near the back of the boat though. It gets choppy out there and each time I've been, the people at the front of the boat have been very, very poorly. The rear of the boat is fine.
