CCTV Cameras on J36 roads?
Discussion
Spotted the last few days some standard looking CCTV cameras on temp poles and video recording secure boxes on J36 sarn roundabout and on the road from bryncethin. The ones on the road seem really low down and practically looking into cars.
Anybody any idea what they are all about? Not seen any informational signs up or anything....

Been through there this afternoon, didn't see them. There are ANPR cameras popping up in a number of places. Anybody any idea what they are all about? Not seen any informational signs up or anything....

Went out again this evening and the ones down the road have gone, but the one on the roundabout is still there. It's on a pole fastened against the lamp on the divider on the bryncethin turn off. Pulled up alongside the box and it says something like "CCTV Recording in progress" with what looks like a police logo and "serving your community".Perhaps they have surveillance up for some specific issue or even person(s)?

I go around there twice a day and haven't noticed them. Shows how much attention I'm paying.
To be fair the junction is not exactly one you can watch the scenery on as you negotiate it. Gassing Station | South Wales | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
