4G broadband in Cardiff?
Discussion
You may be OK for browsing/email but most of the packages have low usage caps that you will exceed quickly with services like Netflix/iPlayer. Additionally the more people in a given cell zone that are using 4G the lower the throughput for all, so as 4G gets more popular you will find performance drops. Also check the fibre rollout map here to see if the exchange is scheduled for delivery - http://www.superfast-cymru.com/where-and-when

Ignore the roll out map, we were told by BT when we moved to Llanishen that Fibre was due in 3 months. 15 months later and we're supposedly getting it by end of March. Yeah right.
Surprised by that as we are renting in Thornhill and connected to Llanishen exchange and have been for 2 years getting a consistent 75mpbs download and zero issues from BT. However the house we are looking to buy was down the road in Thornhill and connected to Witchurch exchange and hence the 3mpbs expected download speed - argggg.I think 4G is a no go too for work purposes so will keep searching for alternatives.
Whitchurch was one of the first exchanges in the country to go digital and also roll out fibre broadband.
Depends really on whether your new phone no starts with 206 or 207 I believe. I think 206 is Whitchurch exchange and covers the western part of Thornhill whilst 207 is the llanishen exchange.
Plenty of 'OpenReach' vans around the area parked up - stop and chat to an engineer I'm sure they'll give you the heads up.
