Ok,a while back I posted asking if anyone had used PPS in Hirwaun to carry out wheel referishment and it seems they do a good job from the limited feedback I have had.

As there were a few people interested in maybe getting their wheels referbished I have spoken to PPS in Hirwaun and they have agreed that they can do 18's at £30 per wheel and 16's at £25 per wheel depending on condition but they will cost no more than £30. He did say he will need to see the wheels if there is heavy damage as they do not carry out repairs on the wheels. He cannot go below these prices as there is no profit in it but I think these are good prices.

If the wheels come with tyres then there is a charge of £10 per wheel for removal, fitting, valves and balancing. This cannot be discounted as he uses a local tyre fitter for this so if you know someone that can do this for you then you could save a little more.

So for a full set of 18's the cost would be £120 without tyres and £160 with tyres and for 16's it's £100 without tyres and £140 with tyres.

Reasonable prices I think!

He only needs us to book in 2 sets to get the discount so it is plain and simple to get your discount, just call 01685 810066 and speak to Keiron explaining that you are calling to book in as part of the group buy he was called about a few weeks ago.

Can I please ask that if you do use them that you reply to this thread to tell us just so we can keep a track of things.

Note to the mods:
I understand that I am not allowed to advertise but I have no link to the business in question and do not stand to make anything from this thread. I have just managed to secure a discount that I wanted to share with others in the community. I do not need anyone else to buy in for me to get my discount. Hope you are able to leave this thread run, thanks and Merry Christmas!

This sounds great i have two sets of wheels to get done, but i guess they only want the wheels ! Not so easy if you have to leave your car without wheels while they are done.

QUICK UPDATE, PLEASE READ!

I popped into PPS today to take a close up view of the colours and finish. They dont seem to have the widest range of colours but there is enough to pick from to please most people. The finish of the examples seems good.

BAD NEWS

I had one of the fellas take a look at my wheels as they have some curbing. This is mainly light but on one wheel the curbing has taken a few chunks out of the rim. I asked what they would do about this and if it would be filled/built back up and he said they dont do repairs to the wheels, they just use 3 layers of powder which apparanly fills most light curb marks. There is no chance paint is going to fill the deep curbing on my wheel so I may not be using them myself as i want a "like new" finish. For those just going for a colour change its still a good deal but if you need damage filled in it may not be worth while.

Sorry, this was not made clear in the first conversation i had with them.

They did mine a couple of weeks ago and I was very pleased with the result. They were silver to gloss black.
