Another Alloy Refurb Question!

Hi,

Looking into a full alloy refurb for a mate on his 17" off a 2004 A4 Avant tdi sport.

I know Renowherls will be awesome but they quoting over £470 inc VAT. Can't really justify that on a £4k car.

Can anyone recommend a good but more economical service. I was hoping for max £300.

Also plan to use Clive Jones for a wing panel respray unless anyone has a better idea or 1 place that could do both alloys & body work at a good price.

In case useful to see this is one of the wheels & typical. In my view needs a complete refurb not fill...but I'm not an expert. Thanks

I used these guys a couple of years ago and think they charged about £65 per wheel.

Afan Tyres in Port Talbot are very good at wheel refurbs, used by many a PH'er and come recommended. Give them a call to see what they can do on price, from memory around £75 per corner.

Alternatively, Flat Out Alloys off the Penarth Road in Cardiff currently have an offer on, four wheels refurbed for the price of three. Not used them but the work I have seen looks good.

There's another one that a couple of people have mentioned in Bridgend, on Brackla or Litchard Ind. Estate, can't remember the name though. I think they must be relatively new.

I have used flat out alloys on Penarth road for a number of cars now. the guys are very easy to deal with prices are very reasonable and there work is spot on. As good as factory if not better.

I used these guys to weld and powdercoat my OZ Superleggeras - service and finish were great. Shame I missed out on their offer...I had to pay £5 extra for Aston Martin silver paint per wheel. Worth it though
