Hi chaps, need to transport a Rayburn cooker/boiler jobbie from Llanelli to Neath this week one evening. Haven't got time to get down to Bank farm etc as they want you out of there by 4:30pm.
Either need a lend of a strong trailer with a ramp at the back or I'm quite happy to pay a few quid for the service.
Cheers.. thumbup

It's a monster. 300kg jobbie. Ideally it requires one of those plant trailers with a ramp on the back to walk it up....

Well my little van will take 800kgs but getting it in and out would be a problem unless we use some wooden boards.

Thanks Mike, went over there with a van on Sunday & it became very clear that getting it in & out would require a pack of forwards. hehe

Most van rental companies will have box/luton vans with tail lifts. The tail lifts have a capacity of 500kgs or more. See if you can borrow a pallett truck as well, as that will make life a lot easier.

Probably the best solution, wouldn't like to see something like that on a trailer, will be a compromise and open too the lovely weather we currently have otherwise.

This. yes Got access to a pallet truck at work. Didn't realise you could hire them with a rear lift.
Anyone know where.

In Llanelli there is Practical van hire at Sandy or of course Days and Howie Hire in Clydach. There will be others just can't think of any more. Brisco Gorseinon.

Should be plenty your way, i have to go to Swansea at some point but i'm not likely to hire a tail lift for the journey unless we can retrofit one to my little beast in the mean time hehe

Believe it or not, it is possible to get one in and out of a van with just three people!

Two tilt it backwards, whilst the other reverses the van upto it, rest it on the bumper and all three push it into the van!

Wyn, I have a plant trailer you can borrow.

However, I would recommend Rhos van hire, they do VW Luton's with a tail lift £40/ half day rental. I used them twice to move some furniture recently despite having various vans/trailers myself, did about 30 miles and (on the fuel meter at least) used no fuel.
