Hi,

Was driving through town in the monaro today, queuing up at a roundabout when I heard a couple of quick pips of a horn. Then again. And again. Looked to my left and a guy with a big grin gave me the thumbs up.

Now, I've had a fair few cars that have made people stare, kids point and say "look at that!!", come up to me at petrol stations/car parks to ask about the car and even one that has had people say "WTF is that?".... but can't actually recall anybody trying to get my attention from another car (that I didn't know) and give me the thumbs up before - and I've had the monaro almost 2 years now. Perhaps I'm just getting forgetful. smile

I was quite taken aback - and just gave a quick thumbs up back since the traffic had started moving. I was going a different way to the other car so that was it.

So - what's the "correct" response for a thumbs up these days? biggrin Do I just follow the example of those penquins off the Madagascar movie? "Just smile and wave boys, smile and wave." smile

A burnout would seem the correct response.

I get the same reactions in my monaro, it never gets old. I just give them a wave and a boot of the throttle.
