Yanks heading west!
Discussion
I saw more of these today most of which were heading East away from Carmarthen. The only ones I recognised were a Hudson Hornet ((matt black with red pin striping)(only because of the film Cars)) and a Plymouth SSR pick up in bright red. All of the others were open wheel hot rods. Nice to see on the road.
Spotted a load of these on the M4/A48 on sunday as well. One was filling up at a local petrol station on saturday night. Makes a very different noise when starting up to modern motors.
Most of them had a number in that thick white pen stuff (hopefully washable?) so assumed it was for some sort of rally. Even saw a few pickups, old lorries and a few of those bubble like caravans. Looked to be americano classics.
I wonder of they realised I had a big yank engine under my bonnet.
