Hi all

Finally some warm weather and sods law strikes, no air con. Anyone have a recommendation for a re-gas in the Swansea or Bridgend area (or anywhere in between).

It's on a new shape Volvo S80 with a high pressure filling port, i think this is important, though don't know why!

Red Dragon in pyle industrial estate. (thers a red dragon tyres and the different business red dragon air con services IIRC so dont get them confused as they are not linked its down the back end of the estate.)

£35 for a recharge regardless of car and its top of the range service and equipment.

They are the people that train a lot of the uk Air con specialists on how to fualt find and recharge etc, the building has class rooms all of the top kit.

I cant rate them enough and probably the cheapest recharge around, much cheaper than kwik fit anyways.

I use Steve Penpraze in Maesteg as he'll come to you. Not the cheapest but he's a nice bloke.

agreed, a little expensive though. The kwik fit offer has got to be worth a try, not on my list of favourite places to go but when needs must!

Just a quick update,
Phoned Red Dragon Air Conditioning on Tuesday, car booked in Wednesday.
After finding that it contained no gas at all they had a quick(2 1/2 hours) look. They tried everything and eventually found a leak in the condenser. New one is ordered and they'll call to book it in and fit once it arrives. They were very thorough and would not give up the search and didn't charge for it. Also, just to confirm, their re-gas prices are cheaper than kwik fit and they also know what they are doing.

Thanks for the other recommendations, but i'm sorted now. When its done I'll post costs if the owner is ok with it.

Another shout out for red dragon air conditioning. Re-gas today £35 took an hour & car air con is working a treat now. Would recommend you make an appointment as they're really busy!
