Update from the Circuit's Facebook page:
Our final Circuit of Wales exhibitions before Blaenau Gwent Council make their decision on planning have come to an end.
We can't thank everybody enough who has attended and shown their support - and those who have done so by writing to the council.
With the planning decision date so near, we would truly appreciate it if those who haven't already expressed their support to the council would do so by emailing planning@blaenau-gwent.gov.uk, or writing to: Planning Department, Council Offices, High Street, Blaina, NP13 3XD.
Every single voice counts if we want to make Blaenau Gwent great once more.
Get your support in! This would be fantastic for South Wales!

Dear Sirs / Madams,
With the automotive business synergy opportunities of the Swansea Metropolitan University, the bulk of the worlds Formula one teams being UK based a stones throw away, the M4 relief road already planning to increase capacity of a major arterial route into South Wales, a rapidly expanding club racing sector, more TV coverage for motorsport (and growing) than ever before, huge pushes for cleaner motorsport technology and "green" racing, incentives for job and economy building projects from the UK government, the stunning location for potentially a cutting edge design in circuit standards stealing those accolades away from the Middle East, the USA and Asia - to WALES(!), I think are very compelling business arguments for the circuit.
I also believe that the quality and depth of wild rural scenery we have shouldn't be hidden away from the world completely cut off, rather we should promote our assets, and use a portion of them to their economic potential. There are vast beautiful areas of Wales that will remain forever untouched, so I fear the "greed" and selfish elements in not wanting to change any of them at all, at any cost, is very uninspired and short sighted.
For non-commercial and not environmental reasons, I'd personally just say, why not? I was sceptical this project would get off the ground, but I suggest that this is in the thoughts of most people, and would be a self fulfilling prophecy. If we were to have a new international circuit the envy of the world amongst countryside you simply cannot buy, attracting Formula One, WTCC, WEC, Moto GP and many other international series, it would certainly transform the South Wales economy in terms of follow on investment, but also be a massive confidence lift for the region for decades to come.
Yours Faithfully,

A quick rambling email... sent! It is a long shot, but wow it would be awesome.

I've just been sent this article by a workmate who lives in Tredegar.
I think this article really highlights the importance of this track being given the green light.
The unbearable sadness of the Welsh Valleys
