Thats a shame - there arent many pink corsa's around. I do wish those DBS drivers would be more considerate where they park.

Would have thought the Aston could have been repaired, damage doesn't look too bad. What a beautiful car it is (or was). Pink box should be crushed.

The chap quoted as being the Aston owner didn't cover himself in glory with the quote did he?!

"They won't fix that" - my arse. That simply must be repairable, Carbon or not.

The Corsa? Probably not.

Good to see British journalism at it's best with this story, the Aston is valued at between £100-185k depending on which newspaper you read.

Erm...if you own it and it's repairable do you have much choice?!?! Kind of the idea of an insurance policy!!

Shouldn't this be in the bad parking thread?

depends on the extent of the damage, if my DBS was hit side on like that I'd want compensation as well as the repair as the car would be devalued come sale time.

So keep the car in a garage at home and drive it in the middle of the night when nobody else is out? Buy a stter for driving around in the day!

You drive on the roads and inherently a crash is a risk. If the car you drive is so vulnerable to post accident devaluation then why risk using it?!?!

of course it's a risk and yes, why we have insurance. But equally, if you had a £100k car and it was hit badly, would you be happy to have it repaired, would that be enough for you?

Yes it would, same as if it was any car for me...

It is a car. It can be fixed. Car values are inherently risky due to the nature of their use and their respective used markets.

I was sent this earlier (Daily Mail version of the story) as this is on my wife's way to work. I presume she stomped on the wrong pedal when she hit the kerb. According to the DM she had only just left said petrol station!
