I am looking for a local Civic Type R. It's going to be stripped and turned into a race car so condition not important within reason. Also don't mind high mileage or Cat D cars. Any existing tuning is a bonus.

If your going to use it as a track car, I'd be buying a non CAT car,

I wouldn't want any geometry issues with a car I'd be using on track. Unless you can find one that's stolen/recovered

As little as possible!!!!
To be honest there are quite a few floating around on ebay around the £2k-£3k mark but would be nice not to have to travel a million miles to find one.

Does it have to be a Civic or would a DC2 or Celica VTii be any good? Don't know of any for sale, just looking at possible options.

It's got to be no more than 2 litres and have around 200bhp and have tuning parts readily available. Type R fits that well. Happy to look at other stuff. Oh yes and be less than £2500 if not already race prepped. If race prepped in any way would pay more. And I would prefer not to travel to john o groats to view.
