As per the title, any idea of any tunnels in the area? Organising a little supercar run and it would be rude not to pass through some!!

Thanks in advance

Newport tunnel on the M4 [slow to 70mph-ish is good [legal] fun]

Monmouth tunnel [a bit short]

ETA: there's a nice underpass on the Cardiff bay ringroad.

Newport tunnel it is thanks smile is it a fair length?

Anywhere to film inside out of interest? Not going to want to miss this!

I'll resurrect this thread in 6 weeks or so with the results!

Thanks for your help.

The best tunnel for your needs will be the cardiff bay tunnel ..longer, less busy and easy to have repeat runs as there are roundabouts for easy turnaround ....

If you do the bay tunnels there are some nice opportunities to take pics of the cars down the bay.
Also if you are coming into s.wales seems a shame not to do the famous black mountain road (A4067)

It is worth noting that there is often a speed restriction in the Newport tunnel. There are variable limit signs there and they are frequently set to 50 with speed cameras.
Cardiff Bay tunnels are my preferred playground smile

I've only seen it used once but Cardiff Bay tunnel has CCTV. It was used once to prosecute drivers for misusing lanes when they were coned off IIRC. Then again, you'd be surprised just how much of our roads are monitored by CCTV.

See post above. It was footage, not magic.
