Chaps

I'm commuting from Bridgend Rail Station for the next month and need to get the new car MOT'd around the beginning of April. Ideally i'll drop it off before hoping on the train to Cardiff but can anyone recommend a place for the MOT please? (Ideally within walking distance to the station)

Cheers

Just had the festa done at Llynfi lane garage around the corner. First time there, seems OK. Reasonable price and comprehensive report etc.

Thanks both.

Jeff - out of interest, where do you take your Saab for Servicing/MOT/repair etc?

Been using Saab Scene (Taffs Well) and just tried SWSS (Portmanmoor Industrial Estate). Easier access for me for the latter more than anything else.

Just wondering what is so SAAB special apart from Tech 2 that I cannot take it more local. Not that there is anything wrong with either in Cardiff, more easy for me. Both do courtesy cars, best check T+C with the firms but think Saab Scene was £10 and SWSS FOC but both needed you to sort insurance but I tend to forget and not wanting to trust my third party if there was a problem, that is I would have to get temp cover.

Better clarify that with either rather than rely on me.

Thanks for the info. How do you find both in terms of service/costs?

Are Saabscene similar to SWSS cost wise?

Had a good chat with one of the guys at SWSS yesterday. They are definitely easier as local from work but did seem slightly higher cost wise.

It's on the old Gee Walker Slater site near Asda. Small Industrial Estate next to the railway line off Coychurch Road. If you drive past the Haywain towards town, keep left at traffic lights then first left about 50m further on and it's first unit on the left.

Can I be cheeky and ask either you or Gaz to PM me the difference in costs too? I've got a SAAB 9-5 that needs a service at some point too and am interested in comparing the cost of the 2 Cardiff area specialists.

If Gareth has them, then please do pass them on.

Otherwise I will look through the sent folder and beam it over, on the other puter at the moment and its off.
