When I lived in Cardiff 15 years ago, King Balti was marvellous , is it still? or can someone recommend a good curry house fairly central for 10 blokes on a Friday evening?

Sadly the King Balti is no more. I'll let some of the other regulars recommend somewhere as I've been out of the Diff for a few years now.

Himalaya - Wellfield Rd, Cardamom - Canton, Spice Merchant - Cardiff Bay, used these when out on the lash with a group of blokes, all good in my opinion.
Special occasion say with the Mrs/GF/Mistress, Moksh - Cardiff bay, Mint And Mustard - Whitchurch Rd, Expensive but special food in these two...

If you want to stay in the town centre, other than the juboraj there is The spice quarter, in the old brewery quarter.

Only been there once, but (I think) it was pretty good.

Got taken there for my birthday last weekend. Fantastic food but probably not best suited for a large group of blokes (the litre bottles of Cobra are nearly £9!)

Shamrat! In St Mellons. Lovely lovely food, not in the best location however.

Been there, food was very good but a 660ml bottle of Cobra was nearly £6mad, I know it's a curry house and you except to pay a premium but nearly 3 times the price of a supermarket!!! The same size bottle of Cobra is £2.10p in Asda presently...
