Hello, I am after some advice, I am staying in central Cardiff in a couple of weeks and the hotel does not have a car park. Can anyone recommend a secure safe carpark in the city centre for a Friday and Saturday evening. Thanks in advance.

St.Davids Shopping centre's multi-story car park is cheap, used to be £2 from 6pm on. That is safe and secure with cameras etc, and as central as you'll get.

Best of luck. A mate was trying to find some cheap parking for his Christmas do in Cardiff, seems overnight parking in the centre is £18. He ended up changing hotels to one that had a secure car park. Trying contact the hotel to see if they have an arrangement with anyone.

Thanks for your help. I am not too worried about the cost, it's the security that matters most. I did live off Cathedral road and never had any issues with parking but don't know if that is still allowed or if it is resident only parking now. I am looking forward to a good weekend back in the city.

I just used this website for a stag do in Exeter: http://www.parkatmyhouse.com/

Might be worth a look if all else fails. I found it simple, cheap and easy, but that may differ depending on whose house you park at and if security is the number one factor!

As far as I'm aware you can still park on Cathedral road with no problems. My dentist is down there and I park at the side of the road every time I visit.

Other than that, I'd go with St Davids parking. It's well lit and there's plenty of cameras about.

Use the Park Inn Hotel (directly opposite the MotorPoint Arena).
Has underground parking or inside a walled car park to the side.

It's £10 for 24 hours.

Edited to add:
You don't have to stay at this Hotel to use the car park - just go up to Reception.
