Firstly, "hello", from the newbie!
What began as a casual chat in work, just a week ago, is beginning to spiral out of control.

A colleague walked into the office and, as usual, talk drifted onto the subject of motorsport -

He'd raced all sorts of cars in the past and still does sprints and hillclimbs.
I used to thrash about on track on bikes.
He trundles to work and back in a tasty looking Porsche.
I've got my Z4...OK, not razor sharp but I love its looks if not its suspension!
He has a track car for high days and holidays.
.....umm, I haven't got a toy!

Hmmm.

The thought of a classic motor springs to life.
Nothing too expensive.
Something tasty looking, but reliable, for weekend frolics and the occasional blast
down to the vineyards....if I add the bit about the vineyards I can probably sell
the idea to my other half smile

911SC....hey, maybe that would fit the bill.

A few hours of Google later.......
3.8 RS reproduction, in viper green.
380 Turbo flatnose!
Genuiine 993 GT2 !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Trev450...it's going to be expensive!

If you get one I'll detail it for free!

Stunning cars, hard to believe I used to park next to one on a regular basis in an NCP car park in Bracknell.

Well, unless I cash in the pension it won't be the GT2. smile

The RS replica seems a good blend of looks and 'sensible' base car...nothing too fragile.
My knowledge of 911s is minimal, are there any thatvare generally regarded as "less troublesome" than the others?

Any guidance gratefully received.
