spectacular as that was, its not really a fair comaprison.

F1 cars are hugely developed racing machines with colosal levels of downforce and grip, and high spec huge bhp engines.

next to the caterhams and other track day cars in there they are basically rockets vs snails!

a more interesting comparison i'd like ot have seen would be F1 vs Le Mans cars like the Audi's and Pugs with propper engineering downforce and not juts the halfords stick on spoilers most track day cars use

Thats impressive, one of the featured vids in the side bar is F1-86 versus F1 2011 and its incar with senna in the jps Lotus which i built I never got to go out with the great man himself but a few of the other lads did an it was heady stuff apparently
As a "normal" driver you will never realise what "fast" is (no matter how quick you think you are)until you go out with a real racer ! 1st time I realised fast was a whole world away from what I thought was when i went out with a guy who was fairly quick in f3 but nothing special and I had a rather interesting journey with him fron snetterton to norwich, think the best bit was when at the end of the A11 he did a 4 wheel drift and joined the traffic on a roundabout at 85ish was stunning
One of my friends was told to take Mika Hakkinen over to the Toyota factory 10 miles from our factory,as they get to the car Mika said he would drive, they route was over narrow twisty winding norfolk country lanes-scared my friend to death but so wish i had been in his shoes
