This one is in swansea (fabian way) I should have mentioned that , do you know if the 2 garages are connected?.Edit! Just saw the home page they're connected, anybody used the swansea one?.
I know they shift stock bewteen sites and as you said are connected.
If you do use them double and triple check everything and make sure y9ou have everything in writing and signed in blood (of the sales guy).
If you are taking their finance also check the rate is the same they tell you before you sign.
Do your own HPi as well!

Just thought I'd update this (I had a feeling you would all be eager to have a follow up )
Went to the Fabian way corner park garage, unfortunately the car I wanted to look at wasn't there but spoke to a salesman called Zac, very friendly guy arranged to have the car brought down to the lot tomorrow so the OH can go view it (I'm in work see).
Not entirely sure the model is the one I want but in all honesty they are offering a good deal on it.
So all in all fairly decent (not dealt with the Llantrisant lot so have no comments on that one! )

Yeah I noticed the finance option on the website and when I was there the salesman was talking to a polish couple before me and said that if a customer puts a third of the asking price (something like that) as a deposit they could guarantee finance regardless of history!.Not to worry though as we're paying outright.
how did the 2nd dealing with the garage go OP?
i had dealings with the Swansea branch about 5 yrs ago and cant say i was overly impressed with the guy who dealt with me.
he was a very pushy chap, arranged to have a look at/test of a Civic Sport they had, promptly turned up at the arranged time to find the car not ready and waiting for me as promised, it was in fact still boxed in among other cars. But to their credit they did have it out and ready for me within 5 mins.
Had a little banter with the salesman about the car, then he allowed me and the mrs to go for a quick test.
Noticed a few niggles with the car on that test, things like, passenger window juddery on open/close, motor sounded rough.
Integrated satnav kept flashing on and off, saying something along the lines of data corrupt, contact Honda services.
A few other things I forget what now. But when I returned to the garage the salesman informed me they were just problems as the car had been standing for a week and “just needed a good run”.
I went to the office to talk numbers with him, and as they were coming up a little different to what I had worked out to be suitable to my budget/payments I told him so, he threw the keys back at me and told me to go have another look around the car while he could ‘see what he could work out’, (the way he did that had me a little annoyed) he had another crunch of numbers and came back with figures closer to mine, but not by much.
Told him I had arranged to see another Civic that day in Swansea too, and as soon as I did that I was told, if I left the garage now, the deal they had worked out for me would not be there if I decided to come back, the way he said it and the attitude he gave with it pissed me off to the point where I simply gave him back his keys, said thanks for his time and walked away.
A few friends of mine also had this sort of attitude/sales style, but others have had nothing but friendly helpful sales.
I suppose it can come down to the salesman on the day as to what experience you have at that garage.

The OH went to view it as I was busy that day, she said the viewing went ok and that he was fairly helpful.
The only thing that has put her off is that the model is a 192ps not a 231ps (not his fault though obviously ).
I did ask on the first meeting if they could source a model for us he said it can be done but can be complicated and they could end up with a car but no sale which I understand as they aren't a huge outfit so probably couldn't shift the car as quick as say a dealership could.
If I was to buy a car from them it would be as a straight one off payment and I'd want an independant inspection done first.

that i can understand too, and good of him to say it can be done . . but!like i said it can depend on the salesman thats there at the time/day on whether or not you get a good experience out of it.
just like to confirm, Rob2005 hasnt gone bonkers and randomly revived a long dead thread. there was a post, well 3 of the same post to be precise , saying he'd been doen by Corner park over a sale of a vehicle, that apparently turned out to be a hot item.
Anyway as if by coincidence this thread popped up again as I have in fact recently visited Corner Park Garages helping a mate buy a car.
massive change from last time I dealt with them. nice laid back salesman, happy to answer whatever my mate asked and didn't seem too miffed at having to dig a car out of the very back corner for him to test it.
got a little if when we pointed out the corroded windscreen scuttle and that it was dripping on electrical connections under the bonnet ( car was a C4 so electrics were already in question )
Then when my mate asked to have time to think about it, he got quite adamant that if he didn't leave a deposit then it was more than likely the car wouldn't be there Monday when he could make it back.

If he still wants a c4 the wife's is for sale
I know all salesmen say it, but to have been as pushy and adamant as he was that the car would sell over the weekend just pushed both our nerves. even to questioning that if the car was going to sell, why was it tucked all the way in the back of the lot and not front and centre like the bigger ticket motors If he still wants a c4 the wife's is for sale
No deal on the C4 sorry mate, he's managed to get himself a nice little deal on a fully loaded ex demo '11 plate Fiesta. the jammy git! why couldn't it have been about when I was looking for a new car!
Thought it would be somehow, only live down the road and still surprises me that they are still going!
Years ago the folks wanted to swap the disco for a Volvo. They had one but wanted 3k on top of the part ex, found a better spec'd with lower mileage and the dealer gave them 2k cash. Same story back then, deal now or lose out!

Drove 140 miles to see a car which we were assured was immaculate. He even walked around it when on the phone saying how good it was. Upon arrival the car was a total dog. We felt very aggrieved to have had our time wasted so badly and add in the fact of the long drive and associated expense. This place gives 2nd hand car sales a bad name.
