A week or so ago, my mother took my 5 year old son, Sam, down to look in the window of Stratstones on North Road and as he stared in, fuelling his addiction, he was invited in where he got to sit in numerous Lotuses, a Ferrari, a Lamborghini and an Aston. Needless to say he was like a bottle of pop with excitement. He also got 3 lovely hardback Lotus brochures and an Aston magazine.

Needless to say, I am very grateful to them for their hospitality and for making my son's day, week, and year and fuelling his petrolheadonism to an even higher degree. I'm pretty sure this sort of PR will not go unheeded when he comes to buying his first car. So top marks, chaps.

Nice to hear something positive about main dealers instead of the usual threads about their "couldn't care less" attitude.

Will they let me sit in Astons, Ferraris and Loti if I peer in through the window?

I'm a young looking 33 if that helps...

They won't judge you on age - I bought my Aston from them when I was 30.

I know the South Wales forums doesn't get many posts from outside the region but I'm a former resident of Swansea. This topic is about high-end cars and I was curious, has Dick Lovett Ferrari-Maserati on Penarth Road closed down? I used to visit there a lot (at £5 return from Swansea, how could I not!) and last time I checked, almost a year ago maybe, I saw advertised a Koenigsegg CCR in orange on sale there.

Lucky he's only 5 years old, otherwise LuS1fer would be hearing......
'Dad.... can we put some 'L' plates on the Mustang'!

No. Very much alive and kicking. One showroom full of Porsches, the other containing the odd Porsche, Ferrari (yellow 599 and a 328 in there at present)and Morgan. Always Porsches out the back too.

Ah ok, I'm glad about that. The reason I was asking is because I searched online for the Cardiff showroom and the only Dick Lovett showroom they showed was Swindon. Thanks to the 2 of you who replied though smile

Helps if you actually have the means and intent to buy!
