I often feel like calling in and just letting them know that I would never ever consider buying a car from them thanks to "Trevor".
Also people should let Nation radio that it often sounds like i'm in a nursery while the adverts play. I have to switch over. But then I just have Chris moyles' team singing to each other badly. Why do they insist on that? I'ts every day now.

I'm not a violent man but I would gladly punch "Tevor" in the face.

I mostly listen to Radio 6 these days so I don't have to listen to all the st adverts.

It is getting beyond belief. Nation radio was superb, cracking songs, non stop from my era......up until now.

However, Nation Radio is turning, gradually into Real Radio. Nightmare.

Add to this 'Trevor' and we have a good station 'ruined' by this utter drivel. How do they think this comes across ?.

It's worse than dire, and it gives the rest of the UK the worst possible impression of a thick 'welshly'.

One thing that's guaranteed to get me biting my steering wheel it's this advert.

Annoying they all are ..... so too is 'we buy any car' !!

Marketing is doing it job here though guys..... They want your attention and they have trully succeeded as this topic is more free chat about them and their products. A full circle chain of events, is it not !!??

Regardless, I too despise those ads and cringe as I switch to the next preset.

Believe me this isn't 'marketing'. If it is, and this is the standard, we'd all be multi millionaires. Inventing a 'thick welshy' with an awful 'jingle' has got attention granted, but would you really want that fronting your business ?. The fact that is being discussed negatively on a forum would indicate to me that we certainly 'had it wrong'if I were them. It is unprecendedted in it's awfulness.

I was informed by a fellow who works at a radio station which runs this advert that the voices and characters are the preference of the owner.

He said the radio station doesn't much like it either, but at the end of the day, he is the customer and insists on it.

I can't confirm any of this, just repeating what I heard. Maybe it works for him... Somehow it did for Cillit Bang! (sp?)

We get the same in Local Newspapers. A business will place an advert that IMO will clearly not do them justice and will likely bring no response, but other than advising them, it can be tricky. It is our industry, we know (probably) better than them what will work, but as it's their business they will have a mental picture of how it should look. As they're the customer (always right of course!) and advertising is a product that is difficult to track the effectiveness of, the way they feel about it is vital to their perception of how successful it is, especially at the local level. So occasionally we have to pander to it.

It is a pity that the radio station won't tell him to shove it, as the advert means I never listen to the radio station now. His stupidity is losing them listeners.

I think I know what you're talking about, even though I never listen to the station.

Sure I saw his van at Sainsbury's in Pontllanfraith this morning.
