Hey,

I lived in Cardiff for about a year so know my way around very well but what with living there didn't ever stay in any hotels!

After a room for 2 nights 19/20th aug and I'm after the modern glass type not the traditional cottage type!

Any recommendations?

Thanks

Cost?

The old Jurys is still OK, Park Inn now.
Parc by Thistle is nice.
Holiday Inn, not stayed there for a year or so.
Novatel (old Cardiff Bay)
Angel was pretty good last time I stayed there.
Ibis for a budget.
There is a Premier Inn near Churchil way but I am starting to hate them with a passion. Budget Hotel, 5 star prices.

If you don't mind being on the outskirts, what about the Village Hotel in Cortyton? They're always offering deals

It OK but I would prefer ones aircon. The village is a £20 taxi or you have to train and the ones I stay in in the summer tend to be hot in the rooms.

Forgot the Hilton in the city centre, not stayed there for a while but parking is tight.

The parc by Thistle has limited spaces as does the ex Jurys and the Barcelo Angel I think. The Village does have loads and a good pool.

Cheers guys!

Just after something in the city centre, nice modern room (something a bit special) with city views upto £100 a night!

Anyone stayed in the radison blu or the Maldron? Both look nice!

The wife recommends Radison Blu to work colleagues coming to Cardiff from other offices around Europe and it is very well regarded apparently.
