I'm looking to have some remodelling (loft conversion and extension) done to my bungalow and need a decent architect to draw up the plans, building reg drawings, and possibly to submit an application for planning (if needed). I'm in south Wales; can anyone recommend a decent architect for this sort of job?

Thanks,

The Doctor

David Williams, or Patrick his son. DW Enterprises in Splott, Cardiff. A bit laid back sometimes but experienced and very reasonable.

Just a small point, the OP asked for an 'Architect'. None of the above seem to be professionally qualified Architects as registered with the Architects Registration Board, though they may provide 'architectural' services.
If you are looking for a qualified architect in your area, you could use the following services:

http://search.arb.org.uk/index.php

or

https://members.architecture.com/directory/default...

Please note, I am not trying to belittle the services provided by architectural technicians and the like, just pointing out the difference.

For what the op wants, extension and loft conversion he doesnt need a registered architect ,a draughtsman could do a equally good job, even a good tradesman with a good knowledge of building regs could provide local authorities with the information they need without paying through the nose an architect would chargesmile
