Hi guys,

i can't seem to find how to join the taff trail from trefforest which heads north. i can find it to head towards caerphilly but want to find it the other day. a friend tried explaining it to me, but he didn't know any road names etc and even he admitted he was useless at giving directions!

somewhere around here he said....

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&source=s_d&a...

if anyone knows could they please put a marker on the map and put a link up. i'd be very grateful biggrin

thanks in advance,

Ross

It crosses Caerphilly Road if thats any good? (At the traffic lights just before reaching GEs when driving up the hill). It also passes Glyntaff Crem and along Pentrebach Road.

Hope that helps, any more questions I'll be happy to (try and) answer.

If you get to the Crem at Glyntaff ( next to the Univ of Glamorgan Glyntaff campus, you should find it OK

Left into the estate at the first set of lights going up Nantgarw Hill and immediately left again and follow that road and it's somewhere along there on the right.

I was just about to post that you got it right then read your last post. Its a great trail though. If you are into mountain biking then you may fancy the Taff Trail challenge for Ty Hafan. It runs every September and follows the whole trail from Brecon to Cardiff Bay. The first 25 miles are mountains and forestry followed by the section you would have done down to the bay. Its well worth a go!!
