Just noticed signs along the A469 stretch between the Thornhill Crematorium and the Traveller's Rest pub saying that the National Speed Limit is to be changed to a 40mph restriction and inviting objections but the deadline was March 2011. When were these signs put up, I haven't noticed them before and drive the route daily, not surprising really as they are on A4 and you're going past concentrating on driving and avoiding potholes etc

Anyone on here objected. Is it worth us putting something in anyway. Would like to see the reasons for the change as no new developments or junctions have been added.

Shame, I enjoy whacking the ol' boot down when the roads clear up that road. I'm not suprised as there are anawfull lot of accidents further up where the lane joins on the right. Also the new housing estate entrance and the various hotels and pubs on that stretch. I certainly wouldn't object to it becoming a 40mph zone.

Again, a shame.

I used to commute it every day when I worked in Caerphilly. Brilliant fun.

Still enjoy thrashing the car over it on a summer evening now.
