Steve Heath's Wedge book advises no more than 2 inches below the top - this can be tricky to judge. There is a plastic meter stick inside the expansion bottle, is there a particular point on this meter stick where coolant should be added to? Cheers, Dave.
I keep mine so the tip shows. Never need to top up either.
