350i Outer Chassis Tubes

I need to replace the outer chassis tubes on my 350i. I have removed the fibre glass over sills but the tubes are so badly corroded that I cannot measure their wall thickness. Can anybody advise the outside diameter, wall thickness and grade of steel of these tubes so I can order replacement material?
