A discussion before Christmas started about having a Wedge car meet but nothing seemed to get sorted. How many people would be interested in actually getting something sorted? From looking at the previous threads it seems as if loads of people where interested but just couldn't choose a location. How about having a North and South car meet but all are welcome - in other words if you want to travel to both you can or if not just go to the closer of the two. I'm sure we could get something sorted! How many people are going Back Home to Blackpool in May?? I can't wait!

I reckon we should name a place and a time and wait and see who turns up. Besides What's hapening in May?

May 17-19th TVR Car Club are organising a "back home" event in blackpool with as many TVR's as possible. Should be good to see the old and the new.

Agree - Agree - Agree

However - Back home looks a kick-the-tyres and go oooH event !

I want to hear the best sounding TVR's (we all know it's true) doing their stuff.

I'm picking up good vibes about this years Mania, that might do for a meet. Alternatively, hooking onto an existing Run What Ya Brung day sounds more my cup of tea.

Bottom line - darn tootin, we've gotta get som'thin organized.

Yours respectfully - Wedgehead

Count me in - I think the "run what you brung" idea is a good one as we will get to see (and hear!) what the cars can do and Santa Pod is fairly central.

If we can get enough interest could we get a good deal for the day??? Never been there myself so I dont know. Anyone else got any ideas??

I am up for the "back home" event, see you all there.I had heard, but have not had it confirmed that they are having a sprint event again as they did in '98 ? If there is any sprinting to be done then I will be entering again. Maybe Steve Heath knows a bit more ?!!! Either that or wait a week or so for February's Sprint magazine !!!

Regards

Hopefully there might be more than just a handful of Wedges at this years Zolder meeting ( 28-29th June )
compared to last year.

For southern ( and N.East ?) based owners it's easier to get to than Back home with better roads ( and dare I say much nicer scenery !). Not a single Arran sweatered tyre kicker in site

Fantastic atmosphere, Zolder has everything with a good helping of both social and 'proper' (safe) driving opportunities.

Cheers
