All,

My recently acquired 460SE has a nasty slash on the side of the soft-top. It's not realistically repairable so I intend to replace it. The question is, having seen various prices for replacements, are these for the complete hard/soft roof sections or just the rear fold-down portion & rear window?

Cheers

It cost me 400 quid all in to have new roof fitted to mine, this was just the new mohair fabric and rear window, and replacement of some rubbers. I think the factory want about 1500 quid for new solid bits.

Thanks Matt. I didn't mean for the replacement of the fibreglass section itself, just recovering it in mohair along with the rear part.

I'm concerned that if I just get the rear portion done it won't match the solid bit.

I guess it's easier to just ring Peninsula or suchlike - doh!

Not only could you chat to the factory as I know they still keep all the old shapes for carpets roofs etc for the wedges, s's and so on, but have a chat or enquire round to some of the speciallist who deal in the older cars i.e. David Gerarrd for example. I know that he sometimes has bits and pieces in his store. If not he may recommend someone
