I want to put a push button starter on my 350i. Anyone know where to buy one?

Is that one of those big stickers that goes on the boot lid, "push here to start"???

So would I like a push button starter, like the good old days. Try Classic Collection Dept PC, 143 Cannon Hill Road, Raynes Park, London SW20 9XB, they do one at £7.99. Let us know how you get on wiring it in and where you fix it ( mines a 400SE, so I would put it in the centre wrap round dash panel), please.

So then where do you plug in the 12 volt powered tyre inflator, the polishing mop, the laptop computer for data log downloads, the battery conditioner, the mobile phone charger....

Listen, you can't start a that beautiful engine with a key. It's got to be a button, much cooler! Anyhow I plan to make a few modifications to the intstrument panel. My brother in law is a veneer specialist so it won't take much to create an new panel, besides I've got some holes blanked out by the factory and they look stupid.

I let you know how I get on once I've done the job. Taking priority over that though is a defucntional speedo and a pinking engine

It's a fair cop, definitely not the prettiest bonnet in the world I have to admit. But on the plus side there's plenty of space under there for a supercharger, which is raising some intriguing possibilities ...

Why not make it voice activated. No joking, must be able to set up a voice recognition thingy?

It's got to be done....

I want a start button on my SEAC, a nide big round red button. The ciggy lighter is my preferred location, I'll add a new one under the dash for ancilliaries.

I'm not up to doing this work myself, but Peninsula auto have said they would be more than happy. The only reason they have not already done the modification is that they've already had my SEAC long enough completing the restoration and I want to drive it a bit before it goes for more...
