Does anyone happen to know offhand, what US radiator will fit into a 280i Tasmin with the upright radiator? I have been bothering every radiator shop on the internet and no one seems to know. Will the Ford P420 from the 74-76 Mustang fit by any chance??

I know this is a little bit late, but I bought my 280i just north of Chicago, and drove it home straight away,2500 miles to South Florida !! I soon discovered that it ran hot;or to be precise always in or just on the red. First thing therefore was to get that put right,as it does 'narf get warm down here. Well, firstly I checked the actual temp(as opposed to what the gauge was showing), and it was not as bad as I first believed.Your local rad shop can do that for you with a laser unit. Secondly, I found a rad shop that removed my rad and rebuilt it from a two core to a three core. Not sure of the cost now, but could find out if you really need to know. Also put in a new sender unit, for less than ten bucks(part number FISZ*10884*A from your Ford dealer. It now runs out of the red all the time, even when sitting in traffic, but I intend to bring it down a bit more by building the surround in front of the rad all the way round to induce more air to go through the rad instead of being lost out to the sides. Hope this may be helpful.Malcolm
