280i water pump

i need a water pump for my 280i. i was wondering if anyone knew where i could get a new one or if i could pull it off an american ford motor. please let me know

You should be able to get that pump from just about any auto parts store. It's the same one found in the early Mustangs (79-83?) with the 2.8 V-6 engine. Some of the Ford Ranger pickup trucks also used that engine. Just ask the guys behind the counter to look at Ford products that used the 2.8 V-6 engine. They should be able to match it up for you.

Just be careful: Ford changed the design over here and the later ones may not fit the earlier 2.8 litre engines. They also changed the gaskets as well. Make sure the replacement matches and you should be ok.
