Brand new one on e-bay same as the one I got off him.
The start price is a bit up on the one I got (I think he has realised that TVR used them!!) and I think theres VAT to go on it but still fairly cheap.

You're "megaboop" then? Where does that nickname come from? Anything to do with Betty Boop?

Its a very old long story but yes, it is something to do with and old friend and Betty Boop.

Forgot to add. If it won't fit mine I will re-advertise it with a photo.

Whilst on the subject of indicator stalks, my headlight flash function doesn't work. If I flick the stalk away, I can put the main beam on continuously, therefore all the wiring should be OK and it points to the contacts within the stalk assembly. So, before I have to take the column cowl off, and I suppose the steering wheel, can anybody tell me if it's possible to get to the switch contacts to clean them, or is it a sealed unit and I'll have to wait for another one to appear on E-bay?

Are you sure the cowl isn't stopping you pull the stalk forward far enough (as on mine!)

I've been on ebay again,
Few things that might interest some of you.
The sd1 mirror motors are the right ones as I've already got a couple of spares myself. Bit of grief getting them out of the sd1 housings, but a combination of patience and extreme violence did it for me.
I quite fancy the uprated twin plenum fuel injection system but I can't afford it and I don't think I would see much benefit in a 3.5 - could be quite a bargain though??.

The cowl is fine, so that's not the problem.
Gareth, can you have a look at your new stalk assembly and see if the contacts are accessible. Thanks.

If your indicator/flashing assembly is the same as mine then yep, they are open to be fiddled with. I gave mine a cleaning (nail file) yesterday as they were being intermittently annoying!

cheers

Hmm. Thinking my flasher wasn't working as the pods didn't do what pods do, BUT found out the driving lamps do. Well one of them anyway and MOT time.

Used a nice pink nail file on the contacts, and still no joy.
I've only had the car for a month, so I'm not sure what exactly should happen when I flash the lights. I assume when the pods are down, the driving lights should flash (but they don't), and when the pods are up with dipped lights, the headlights and the driving lights should flash (neither of them do). Are the flashing main beam, and the continuous main beam, on different circuits? Could it be a dodgy relay? Or a million other electrical problems?

Mine flashes the head & spot lights - but doesn't raise the pods. There is a way of modifying the wiring to make the pods raise.

It does sound like the problem is in the switch on your car though.
