Chaps, trying to get my 86 350 s2 on road for summer and sort out various niggly problems. The passenger window rattles like hell when roof down and on investigation all looks o.k , do the guides in the doors literally wear out?.
Also the door lock mechanism rods have sheared at the plastic connection points in the door. Are these Ford Capri or a Tvr special?
Any advice would be really appreciated

The locks and handles are Cortina, not sure about the rods that connect to the lock, but Cortina would be a good bet.
The window guides do wear. I have replaced them twice in 10 years. The last time I replaced them (2 years ago) I struggled to source the correct profile. I have seen threads that say it's available from motor trimmers but I could only find profiles that were similar, not exactly the same. RT (Wedge) supplied the correct stuff.

My passenger window was very noisy and I noticed the glass was banging against the metal at the top trailing edge of the door. I glued a small piece of rubber on there with evostick, and the first time I use the window it fell off!
However the thin layer of glue that is left has stopped the rattle!
