Power resistor (was power loss)
Discussion
As suggested by Kevin, I've been out and had a look for the leads he mentions.
I'm guessing its the power resistor connectors that he was talking about. It's the only thing I can find that fits the description, but is on the other side of the car.
The connectors at the injectors are all firmly in place, and the connector at the power resistor is one 8 way block, and seems to be well seated.
However, when I take this connector off the resistor, there is an amber coloured residue, fairly solid, on several of the sockets of the connector. I fact, it is remarkably similar to actual amber. It does not seem to be interfering with the electrical or mechanical connection, but is it a sign of something bad going on in the resistor? Could that be my current problem (occaissional performance loss)?, or signs of a completely different problem?
TIA
