I have a couple of quesis
I don't have the bit that goes over the soft top when it is down. what is it called, (Eng and US Eng if possible)
Does anyone have a picture of it layed out on the floor. (It would give the upholsterer a start) Or can I just buy it as a part or is it better "made for the car" ie car specific!
If any of the US wedgies have an old one that I could borrow/rent/steal, I would of course pay mailing both ways.
Next, I have lowers the same as the picture on the back of the bible (S.H car) What size are those lights and what is the prefered mounting rear top or bottom.
Next, I have a gale that blows up past the gaiter on the gearstick, the gaiter is tied but it is atill quite a draft. Is there somthing that should be there that could be missing. If I drove the car if heavy rain I'm sure it would get sucked in.

Thanks in advance, I'm putting together an order for bits I need for next month, well hopefully next month depends on the weather.

Jef:
There should be a rubber boot(or gaiter) under the vinyl/ leather one to keep the fumes etc. out of the cabin. In the UK it was from a Ford Sierra, though the early cars used one from an older Ford Escort or similar. Most UK TVR dealers can supply as far as I know.

Ithink you are referring to either a tonneau (common on MGs) or the cover for the roof panel. A tonneau was never supplied for the cars and the cover is a canvas bacg the shape of the roof panel

Don't understand the question about the lights?

Steve,
Lights
The front lowers on your car are the same as P.O. fitted to my car, yours look good I was curious to know whether they are 5 x 3, 5.5 x 3.5 etc etc. (My car is in storage for the winter, too much snow)
The cover I was refering to is called a boot in the US,(obviously not the UK name) it covers the soft top when down and gives the car a neat look, I've seen them at "woodwork", a US TVR meeting, but didn't really take a lot of notice at the time because I didn't realise that I would be buying a car without one. I just assumed it was a standard part.

Also, while I have your attention, I assume a 1100 cfm puller fan to replace viscous with the standard A/C pusher is adequete for road use cooling.

PS, I like your writing style, nice book, I just seem to keep reading it. Any chance of an early Porsche one!
