central locking
Discussion
My 89 'F 400 has it too, though i'd refer to it more as electric door locks as central locking as on mine both the actuators are 'slaves' and therefore only work with the alarm and not with the key, if you get what i mean. i.e unlocking the drivers door with the key does not unlock that passenger door. Needless to say i use the alarm blipper all the time.

Got me there!
I'm not sure I've ever used the key

I'll have to have a play next time I dig it out the garage.
As it appears in my 1991 Price/Options list, central locking system was an option. Probably true about 'whatever they had laying around the factory at the time.' I purchased a 450 last March, and it does not have it. Nor does it have seat piping, just black half leather seating

Nope. Some cars had it... some didn't.... Others had it as a dealer mod/option.
