Adjusted the air gap on the distributor today,as described in the haynes manual. Seems to have cleared top end pinking that i had. If anyone is interested,... Remove dizzy cap, disconect battery earth, pull off rotor arm and remove plastic anti-flash cover. The gap between pick up coil and timing rotor should be, 0.014 to 0.016in, or 0.34 to 0.41mm. Adjustment is made by loosening pickup screws and reseting gap. Havent seen this in a thread before so i thought someone may find it usefull. PS, am i the only wedge going to Virginia Water on 3rd of Feb?
