Quick question before I break anything. I was going to weld a little doobrie on to a suspension bit earlier today and had a thought! I've removed the battery but am I gonna zap any electrics if I start welding? Just wondered as there'll be various bits earthed to the chassis and was wondering if the current might zap them? Or is that highly unlikely due to the current taking the route of least resistance, ie the MIG earth lead?

Not tried my welding skills on a car yet!

It's usually considered good practise to disconnect the alternator as well. In a hurry, I've welded cars without disconnecting anything, but that's not to say I wasn't just lucky....
