Hi chaps, can anyone give me any advise as to how easy it is to adjust the height of the body on the chassis? I have noticed that the rear n/s corner seems to sit high while the front o/s sits low, only about 10 or 15mm but it looks very noticeable. While i was have a root around underneath i measured the spring heights etc, which were all equall side to side within a few mm. But i also noticed a couple of rubber shims, probably 5mm each that seem to be hanging out near the front of the engine bay area on the o/s. This made me think perhaps it needs loosening off all round and re-shimming. Is this normal?
Sorry for the long story, bugger all better to do at work today
Cheers,
Mick

Mine's the same - I wouldn't worry about as long as the chassis/springs are ok. The springs are known to crack though.

Mine was the same, high at the front off side, I undid all the chassis bolts and it dropped into the correct position. To get these bolts out you need to rip up some carpet, get the sill covers off and undo the 4 bolts. you will probably be opening a can of worms though as there will probably be some rust to deal with if you havn't been there already and the inner frame the bolts mount to may need the holes moving.

Mine was the same. Just gone through the process of putting the body back on the chassis. If you do want to rectify this I wouldn't try it without loosening all the body to chassis bolts first, as you may stress or twist the body. Some of the bolts can be extreamly difficult to remove and you may need an angle grinder. The two bolts in the engine bay are particularly difficult to remove and put back as there is restricted access to the nut.
Be careful with the back of the car, don't lift it with the doors open. Mine is a convertable and it is possible to stress the body just behind the doors.
Otherwise leave it as it is.

Thanks lads, glad to see i'm not the only one with this problem. I have had the outer cill covers off about 18 months ago, cleaned & repainted the chassis outriggers which were solid if a little scabby looking.
I will probably set too over the xmas to level it up, i have 17" rims and it just rubs the inner n/s/f arch on harder cornering where it is sitting low. I replaced the front springs when i bought the car along with the shocks etc as it looked like a low rider.
