There are a few near me but don't see them. Mainly at the club meetings although a nice meet up was arranged by Mikeb at the festival park near Ebbw Vale for 3 of us a while ago. What gets me is though, the ammount of times I see one when in the works van. I would get the Piston Heads humungus sticker but not allowed etc. On that point, if anyone in South Wales gets waved/flashed by a large white merc van with a dish on the top...its me

I don't knoe if he reads PH. He used
Portfield quite a lot for servicing as that
is right opposite where he works in Chichester.
He looked after it well but did use it for sprinting
.. used it like it was designed for - a good sound
thrashing now and then.
Must say - it still looks good in the photo's.
Is the red fading yet... (red's usually do..).

The bodywork is looking pretty good on the whole. I noticed when I washed it yesterday that there were a few areas that showed signs of fading, not much.
I don’t show any signs of being thragged and runs sweet with plenty of torque. Doesn’t loose/use much oil either.
I’ll have to try and make contact with him. See if he can give me any history

There is definitely a dyno printout indicating 261 at the flywheel in the history file. Sounds a bit unrealistic from reading other posts but it’s in black and white. I don’t know how much I believe it but it is fairly rapid.
The belts look standard to me, I wouldn’t want to put them to the test either because they don’t take up the slack very well and I have a feeling I’d be spread up the windscreen!
I’ll drop him a mail and let you know.
Cheers for the info.
BTW the new SEAC looks stunning! I think I’d consider moving up to one instead of a Griff after owning the 400.

Do any of you know if it is as it left the factory or has it had any mods ?
It looks “standard”, that is if you can apply the word standard to TVR
Will have to ask him if he broke my spring !Sprung-out

Mr. Sewedge:
The seatbelts on my 390 are pants as well; it's something to do with the fact that the factory added a cross-brace between the B-pillars. Alas the seatbelt reels are directly underneath this brace; they couldn't have moved the reels as they are bolted through the sills to the chassis plates. So they did a typical TVR thing: to make the belts slide around the cross-brace they glued a bit of vinyl to it to act as a lubricant. By now the vinyl is probably peeling off and causing the seatbelt to rub on the (undoubtedly rusting;-) brace. Ultimately the belts will fray and fail the MOT. Investigate now, while you can! We're doomed....DOOOOMED...
