STONE CHIPS 400 SERIES

HOW DOES EVERONE ELSE COPE WITH STONE CHIPS ON THE 400 SERIES WEDGES. MY 450 GETS IT BAD ON THE UNDER BUMPER SPOILER (OBVIOUSLY) AND ON THE REAR WHEEL ARCH FLARE/SIDE SKIRT. DO YOU REPAINT REGULARLY ??!! USE PROTECTIVE FILMS OR TRAILER THE CAR EVERYWHERE. I KNOW ITS UNAVOIDABLE BUT HOW DOES EVERONE ELSE KEEP THEIR WEDGES IMMACULATE. THANX BROADSIDE

I've a mate who is also a Resprayer / GRP specialist..got the edges done in May, and they still look good, despite a lot of sunny outings recently. Patrick.

I took a bit of masking take and masked off an area to paint with halfords stone chip. take some wet & dry ( use it dry) and rough up the paint to allow the stone chip to key into the paint propperly.spray neatly over the area, repeat to build up layers of the stuff. allow to dry ( overnight is best ) and peal off the masking tape. hey presto. NB use stone chip the stuff that drys hard.. I saw someone try and use waxoil ... it didnt work, and ran off when the sun came out !!
