Hi

After many factors the numbers are very low for this year and so have had to cancel some attributes of the event, but at least we can still have a meet, people can book with the hotel and still come to join the convoy to the 80's mania FREE event on the Saturday morning.

This years event will consist of the Friday night meet & Greet, the convoy to the Free event Saturday morning, then back to the hotel for late lunch or eating in the restaurant from a set menu for an evening meal, those who have already paid are safe and if others wish to join us then you ideally need to just fill out that part of the booking form and pre-pay the £42 pp, there will be no Sunday venue but people can still attend the festival of transport who have paid to exhibit or i can refund you given 4 weeks notice.

So a scaled down fest is probably best for now, we can gauge interest for next year and possibly collect a consensus on a date.

Kindest regards

Mark smile

Won't you just get the same result and the same next year. You're the 2nd person to try and organise this year's, with different dates, events, but the same result.

I think the sad truth is that these kind of events are a thing of the past now. The Griff Growl went. The S Club Eurotour has 5 posts on the forum. S Club Heaven has about 20 cars. The TVRCC Woollaton Hall event had 2 posts on the forum. Another club was wound up this year and refunds provided. The trackdays struggle to fill, and Porsche owners have to make up the numbers.

It's great that you've taken this on and are trying, but you maybe flogging a horse that is dead.

Not at all David, there are over 20 people that cannot make this years date, but 10 that can, that is a potential 30 cars if most could, the date was changed which did the event no favours...Covid did not help but we still had a virtual one smile

I will put to vote on here and on social media to get a consensus on preferred dates...you are never going to please all the people all the time, no animals are injured during the creating of this event, the horses are being watered, fed and groomed and the custodians are ready to ride again...smile

Cheers

I prefer 'cosmetically challenged but unlikely to leave me stranded'... opposite of the blinged-up tin box brigade that you see parked at the roadside with the bonnet up. If only they'd done that oil change instead of bolting on some more tat... whistle
