BBWF 2025 if the current one is cancelled.

Hi

To those of you who know the history behind this great event and know me then you will understand where i am coming from...it saddens me to hear that the current organiser is calling it a day on Wedgefest 2025, however i have decided that due to my previous success with this event that i shall ask you if i can honour it once again to save it from the ashes, all the time Wedges are here there needs to be a celebration and what better way than the Biggest Baddest Wedge event of the year...nothing else like it worldwide!

The Wedgefest has some very fond memories and antics that still make us laugh, we should preserve this so i put it to you that i can organise an alternate Wedgefest 2025 later in the year to give you time to decide and prepare...i have a date of the 1st-3rd August 2025, i will try to negotiate good rates but as it stands what i have in mind is reasonable, so, are you in support of this years Wedgefest?....none of us have the authority or right to disband something that belongs to all of us...

Hi Mark, may well struggle with August date and many may be on holiday. What are the chances of keeping original dates, but simplify it. Beer and pizza at the bar, rather than formal meal. If the Triumph visit is a no then would highly recommend RAF Cosford Air museum. Nice run over and amazing planes, and apart from car park it's free. Just a thought. Cheers

Ideally it would be so much easier if the reigns were passed over and the hotel were made aware of the hand over, they should know me anyway from past events, I always got on well with event managers and house staff. there might have to be a scale down as it is not practical on a low volume format the way it is, if we can get the numbers up then more viable....going to try to make it whatever happens...

We are floating dates out there on the Wedge owners UK FB group but it also applies on here, if honest it would be difficult for me to take on something for the original date of 27th-29th June 2025, especially as the hotel has now issued refunds etc along with the planned Saturday hosts so negating a new deal is now not feesible..August or September would be a better date for rates and availability of rooms but not sure what is happening in the form of a Saturday venue, I am sure I could find something I have something half planned as a back up in August, even a venue for a visit on the Saturday which should tick all boxes..but whatever happens the Wedgefest has to

I now have something for the 12th-14th September 2025, we could pick any weekend but these weekends means there are interesting places to go to...

So if I were to organise again then these two dates would be great fun for all and not too expensive...

1st-3rd August 2025 with a Saturday venue
12th-14th September 2025 with a Sunday venue...can also have another venue for Saturday but nothing on the motoring calendar at mo.

Now have another date 5th-7th September 2025...Saturday & Sunday venue available...
